The Basics

Oklahoma State’s men’s tennis team will look to punch its ticket to ITA National Indoors with a pair of wins at Kickoff Weekend. OSU takes on Utah for the fourth time in program history, before facing either Texas or UTSA in bracket-style play.

Oklahoma State checked in at No. 3 in the Big 12 Preseason Coaches Poll. The ranking tied an OSU program best, also appearing third in 2016, 2017 and 2021. In the ITA ranks dating to November 15, Tyler Zink appeared at No. 18, while Alex Garcia was ranked No. 48. OSU also appeared in the doubles ranks, with Zink and Isaac Becroft listed at No. 23.

Series History
Utah: OSU is 4-0 all-time against Utah with the last meeting, a 6-1 victory in 2004.
Texas: Oklahoma State is 4-34 all-time against Texas. OSU’s last victory against Texas came in 2017, where the Pokes overcame the Longhorns, 4-2, in Stillwater.
UTSA: The Cowboys are 3-0 against UTSA in program history. The Pokes have only allowed two team points in three matchups.
