
BOSTON (WHDH) – Firefighters responded to reports of a car fire in the Ted Williams Tunnel in Boston Friday afternoon.
SKY7-HD spotted smoke wafting out of one end of the tunnel. The exit from I-93 North to the Massachusetts Pike was shut down as of 5 p.m. Photos from inside the tunnel showed vehicles engulfed in flames.
There were a few fire trucks at the D Street exit of the tunnel. Traffic was backed up on the Massachusetts Pike heading into the city.
No other information was immediately available as of 5:30 p.m.
