
A 17-year-old was struck near the intersection of Fairfield and Clinton avenues in Bridgeport as he attempted to cross the street, police said in a press release.
The male victim, a Bridgeport resident whose name was not released, was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, and is listed in critical, but stable condition.
The 22-year-old driver of the 2012 gray Honda Accord, also of Bridgeport, didn’t sustain any injuries, police said.
A passenger, identified as a male, 18, of Bridgeport, also was not injured, police said.
An investigation into the “serious collision,” police said, is being investigated by the Bridgeport Police Traffic Division.

Police said the Bridgeport Emergency Operation Center received multiple calls Saturday about the motor vehicle versus a pedestrian collision.
The Bridgeport Serious Crash Team, and the Southern Fairfield County Traffic Unit were requested to reconstruct the collision, police said.
A preliminary investigation determined a 2012 gray Honda Accord was traveling west on Fairfield Avenue. The car continued traveling west through the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Clinton Avenue and struck the teen attempting to cross the intersection.
