Cub Scout Pack 734 held its annual Military Appreciation Night at Solana Pacific Elementary School on Nov. 15. The event was organized by Bear Den 1, led by Sean Ezell. Captain John P. Vinson USN (retired) gave a lively presentation with regards to Naval Aviation and shared his life experience with the young scouts. The scouts also got a chance to participate in a Q&A with Captain Vinson afterwards. After the presentation the scouts worked on a service project creating paracord lanyards for Operation Gratitude that will be included as part of their Care Packages.

Pack 734 serves girls and boys who attend school in Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Solana Beach, and Encinitas. The group meets monthly and is sponsored by the Optimist Club of Del Mar – Solana Beach.
