Every year, GQ magazine, both U.S. GQ and British GQ, hand selects four celebrities who, in their words, “embodied this past year in pop culture.” For 2023, the honorees for GQ Man of the Year Awards spanned from fashion to music to the entertainment industry.
This year’s so-called “co-hosts” in the U.S. are Priscilla star Jacob Elordi, SKIMS founder and reality TV superstar Kim Kardashian, multi-platinum musician Travis Scott and legendary menswear designer Tom Ford. “This year’s Men of the Year bash is an ode to our current cultural moment, as defined by the stars whose work spans both reality and hyperreality, whose moves have unlocked new stratospheres of business, clout, and success,” the magazine details.
For the British magazine, the honorees were The Bear star Jeremy Allen White, Barbie star Ncuti Gatwa, Fleabag’s Hot Priest Andrew Scott and the indie group Boygenius. To celebrate the night’s honorees, celebrities from all over joined on Nov 15 in London’s Royal Opera House to celebrate, toast and, of course, party. In attendance, in addition to the MOTY picks, were Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Asa Butterfield, Emma Corrin, Theo James, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Dan Levy and many others.
