Dancing On Ice has the lowest viewership of Holly Willoughby’s TV comeback.
The Sunday night event, which included celebs including Amber Davies and Ricky Hatton on the ice, had its lowest-ever opening audience of just 3.6 million.
In contrast, the 2023 launch received 4.1 million viewers, while the 2022 debut drew 4.3 million. The 2021 opening show had 5.4 million viewers, compared to 5.1 million in 2020.
Holly Willoughby, 42, returned to television following a vacation since quitting This Morning in October, ending her 14-year run on the show.
The programme also featured a reunion between the TV celebrity and Stephen Mulhern, who replaced Phillip Schofield as the skating show’s host.
Former This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield, 61, resigned from his on-screen positions after confessing to having an affair with a younger colleague last year.
According to a source, Phil is still devastated by his fallout with Holly, avoids watching This Morning and finds the theme tune highly distressing.
“It would seem unlikely he is avidly tuning in to watch Holly’s return to TV. Phil just wants to move on and live a quiet life away from the spotlight whilst he tries to rebuild.”
