After an attempted hit-and-run on May 30 in Miami Beach, Florida, the American singer DaniLeigh is said to have been charged with DUI.
The LA Times said that the musician, whose real name is Danielle L. Curiel, was arrested after she hit a guy on a moped and kept driving down the street at high speed in a gray Mercedes-Benz with a passenger on the street, according to a report from Miami Police.
A witness told a police officer about the car, and a police officer pulled it over.
Despite the fact that the Easy singer provided the officer with his license and registration, the officer detected the smell of alcohol emanating from the car and observed the singer driving at a slow pace.
The police officer said that the singer told him she was coming from a private Memorial Day party and that she had “never hit a driver” or “drank any alcohol.”
The singer was allegedly arrested after failing a test to see if he was drunk.
According to Miami-Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation, the musician was kept in jail for almost 3 hours and then let out on a $9,500 bond.
DaniLeigh became well-known after creating the music video for Prince’s “Breakfast Can Wait” in 2013.
Later, in 2015, she released her first song as a singer called “D.O.S.E.” Since then, she has put out projects like “Summer with Friends,” “The Plan,” “Movie,” and “My Side.”
The singer also has a daughter with rapper DaBaby, who is 20 months old.
