Danny Masterson Is Facing a 30-Year Prison Sentence for Rapes Committed in 2003

After the ruling for his rape cases came out, Danny Masterson is going to prison for a long time.

Thursday, the former star of “That ’70s Show” was given a 30-year jail sentence for two rapes he committed that same year.

Reporter Meghann Cuniff says that California Superior Court judge Charlaine F. Olmedo told the star in court, “Mr. Masterson, you are not the victim here.”

“Your actions 20 years ago took away another person’s choice and voice. Your actions 20 years ago today were criminal, and that’s why you are here.”

Each of Masterson’s accusers had a chance to say something important at the meeting.

Cuniff says that one of the women Masterson hurt called him out on his “addiction” to hurting women. “There’s no doubt that it’s your favorite thing to do.”

Leah Remini, who has spoken out against Masterson, allegedly went to the sentencing.

The actor from That ’70s Show was seen for the first time in jail clothes on Thursday. He could have gotten up to 30 years in prison.

After the first hearing in November 2022 ended in a draw, Masterson, 47, was found guilty in May. Seven hours went by while they thought about it.

But when the case was tried again earlier this year, the jurors could only decide on two of the three counts. The third case, involving a woman only known as Jane Doe No. 3, was ruled a loss and dropped.

Three women came forward to say that Masterson had sexually abused them. One was 23 and said it happened in the winter of 2001. Another was 28 and said it happened in April of 2003. The third was also 23 and said it happened between the fall and winter of 2003.

All of the people who accused him were members of the Church of Scientology, and one of them was an ex-girlfriend.
