The AEW Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view event in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum featured an opening match between Christian Cage, Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne against Sting, Darby Allin & Adam Copeland. The babyfaces were victorious by delivering their finishers to Luchasaurus.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Darby Allin will not be pursuing his Mount Everest climb this weekend as previously mentioned by the announcers. 

Instead, he will be taking a break from television to train for the attempt, which is expected to take place in 2024.
