‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Marvel Television Variant Covers Show Off Intriguing New Costume Design

Daredevil: Born Again is now on Disney+, and to celebrate the return of the Man Without Fear, Marvel is releasing Daredevil: Born Again Marvel Television Variant Covers spotlighting the new costume design… Including one look not used in Season 1 of the series.

The three covers will hit in April and May, and run on Daredevil #20, Daredevil #21, and Daredevil: Cold Day In Hell #2. They feature, per PR, “original costume illustrations and concept art from Marvel Studios’ Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding and Visual Development Supervisor Jackson Sze, including designs for Daredevil’s new suit debuting in the show.”

While two of the covers do indeed feature the new costume design seen in Daredevil: Born Again‘s series premiere, a third one shows Matt in a dirty, unkempt shirt, tie and pants, wearing a very different mask and brandishing his cane as a weapon. Without getting too heavily into spoilers, something like this happens in Season 1, but this is not the costume or mask on screen. So it’s a preview of coming events that don’t exactly happen.
