Dario G Announces He Has Stage 4 Cancer

Dario G, an international DJ, said on Wednesday on Twitter that he has been told he has stage 4 prostate cancer. The DJ, whose real name is Paul Spencer, was given a somewhat scary diagnosis, but he said he was keeping positive and was going to see a doctor soon to talk about what to do next. “Hard to write this. I’ve just found out that I’ve got stage 4 rectal cancer and a shadow on my liver.” “That’s damn hard to read, too, I’m sure. Gonna give it my best shot, though. Stay positive, cos I am. Always. Seeing the doctors on Friday to discuss the next steps.” Fans were happy about Spencer’s news, and one of them wrote: “So sorry to hear this, really don’t know what to say, stay strong mate.” Lisa McGee, who wrote Derry Girls, also sent her love and said, “I am so sorry. Sending all my love xx.” Rich Wilson, a British radio host, also sent a message: “Sending all the love and positive vibes your way, man. Stay strong, geezer.”

According to the National Cancer Institute, rectal cancer is “a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the tissues of the rectum.” There are a number of signs and symptoms, such as blood in the stool, diarrhea that doesn’t make sense, weight loss that doesn’t make sense, and changes in hunger. Most of the time, “stage four cancer” means that the cancer has spread from where it started to another area in the body. This is called “secondary cancer.” When caught early enough, rectal cancer is easy to treat. In the 1990s, Dario G became a well-known pop group in the UK and around the world. They had hits like “Sunchyme,” which was on an album called Sunmachine. Millions of people downloaded their songs, and in 1997, it was number two on the UK charts.

Spencer is the band’s only member now, but he kept the name after Stephen Spencer and Scott Rosser left. Even though Scott and Stephen left the band, Spencer kept putting out music under the Dario G name, like the dance track “Game On” with Pitbull for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He also recently did a demo for the Biggest 90s Disco, which was attended by famous musicians like Vengaboys, 2 Unlimited, Haddaway, and Phats & Small. Several pictures from Spencer’s recent shows show him playing the electric piano and singing “Sunchyme” to crowds in venues all over the UK.
