In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in the vanity of many men. They are not only paying attention to fashion, perfumes, and skin cosmetics but also seeking ways to enhance their physical appearance, including resorting to surgery.
One of the most sought-after features is a stunning head of hair, and some men are even turning to surgery to achieve this.
Public figures, especially footballers, often serve as role models in this regard, and one such figure who has been in the spotlight for two decades is David Beckham, despite his retirement from professional football.
What does the surgery entail?
According to a report from the NY Post, David Beckham has become an inspiration for many men who wish to ‘copy’ the shape of his nipples.
Surgeons in New York have noticed this trend and have seen an increase in requests for a specific surgery that aims to achieve nipples similar to Beckham‘s, which comes with a price tag of 5,000 dollars.
The surgery to achieve pectorals like those of the Inter Miami co-owner involves reducing the size of the nipples to make them symmetrical and shaping them into an “almond” shape, similar to Beckham‘s.
Dr. Marc Everett, a Manhattan plastic surgeon, has acknowledged the surge in requests for this procedure. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he confirmed that there has been a noticeable increase in the number of men seeking nipple surgery to emulate Beckham’s appearance.
“People want David Beckham’s nipples,” Everett declared in an interview with the Daily Mail.
Fellow surgeon, Dr. Elie Levine spoke of the increasing demand for the surgery.
“It’s definitely a growing trend, we’ve gone from having two such surgeries a year to an average of two per month.”
