WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Antwon “Noochie” Vincent, a Washington, D.C. native, who started doing freestyle hip-hop on his front porch in 2017. One year later, he opened up the opportunity to artists and musicians in the region.
It became known as the “Front Porch Free Styles.”
Vincent says all genres are welcome.
“It’s not a concert. It’s more like a studio performance or a studio recording” he said. “It’s not like a crowd out there. It’s literally the people who help me put the production together.”
Vincent provides live performances on YouTube and his goal is to keep the experience authentic for those who are performing and watching.
“I feel like we are left out from BET (Black Entertainment Television) that does not give us music anymore,” Vincent said. “I don’t think MTV stands for Music Television Anymore and that is the stuff I grew up on, and its stuff that made me love the culture and I want to give that energy back [in] some type of way.”
Vincent says his goal is to continue to grow his Front Porch platform
