On Monday, Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen was assaulted outside the Four Seasons in South Florida, where he and the band were staying following a recent show. The police report says that Allen was smoking outside the hotel in the valet area when a 19-year-old attacked him and knocked him down. The musician, who lost his arm in a car accident in 1984 and is now 59 years old, was helped by a woman who had also been attacked. When she attempted to flee, the suspect allegedly grabbed her hair and dragged her back, according to authorities. Max Edward Hartley is charged with two charges of violence, four counts of criminal mischief, and the mistreatment of an elderly or disabled adult.
