Denison welcomes Grammy Award-winning Third Coast Percussion on Nov. 16

Denison University’s Vail Series welcomes Grammy Award-winning and Denison’s own Ensemble-in-Residence, Third Coast Percussion, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, in the Sharon Martin Hall of the Michael D. Eisner Center for the Performing Arts, located at 240 W. Broadway. Tickets are free for Denison students, faculty and staff. The college shares these experiences with the larger community by making a limited number of tickets available for public sale on a first come, first served basis for $20 each. Visit vailseries.org for tickets and more information.

Third Coast Percussion joins forces with the groundbreaking choreography of Movement Art Is (Lil Buck and Jon Boogz), performed and interpreted by Cameron Murphy and Ron Myles, for an intimate, evening program that is both intensely personal and fiercely virtuosic. Two disparate styles of street dance blend seamlessly with “Perspective” by Jlin (2023 Pulitzer Prize-finalist) plus music by Tyondai Braxton and Philip Glass.
