BLOOMINGTON — The sounds of polka, Dixieland, and classic rock will fill the air on Friday, June 13, as Bloomington’s 2025 Performing Arts Series continues with a free concert at Switchyard Park’s Main Stage, presented by VisitBloomington.

The event will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. with no admission charge. The evening opens at 6 p.m. with a performance by the Heritage Hall Ramblers, a spirited Dixieland band known for their upbeat, traditional jazz sound.
The headliner, Der Polkatz, will take the stage at 7:15 p.m. The 11-piece band blends polkas, waltzes, classic hits from the ’60s and ’70s, and world music. Der Polkatz was formed by several members of Indianapolis’s beloved Polkaboy to honor the legacy of polka and celebrate the joy of beautiful music.
“Bringing you the world’s most beautiful music… and polkas,” is how the band proudly describes their mission. More information about the group can be found at polkatz.com.
The Bloomington Performing Arts Series is organized by Bloomington Parks and Recreation and made possible by generous local sponsors. VisitBloomington is this year’s presenting sponsor.
