DETROIT LAKES

— The Detroit Lakes girls tennis team put a stamp on its 2023 season with the distribution of their end-of-season awards.

Anna Askelson was the lone Mid-State All-Conference selection. Claire Pazdernik, Isabella Wolf, Natalie Carlson, and Allie Bolar were awarded Mid-State All-Conference honorable mention. The All-State academic individual winners were Askelson, Pazdernik and Bolar. The team finished as an All-State academics gold medal winner for having a team GPA between 3.75-4.0.

The 2023 girls tennis team award winners are as follows:

• Most Improved: Paige Lindberg
• Hardest Worker: Isabelle Wolf
• Doubles MVP: Claire Pazdernik
• Single MVP: Anna Askelson
• Most Wins: Natalie Carlson
• Singles Points MVP: Natalie Carlson
• Doubles Points MVP: Jaycie Sliper
• Overall Points MVP: Anna Askelson

Carlson, Lindberg and Abby Cummings were announced as the 2024 captains.
