‘Digital guillotine’: 8 celebrities on the Blockout 2024 list

“We gave them their platforms,” the internet personality said in a May 9 video, which has since been seen over 2.5 million times. “It’s time to take it back, take our views away, our likes, our comments, our money by blocking them on all social media and digital platforms.”

Here are some of the other celebrities who’ve been affected by the blockout.

The newly pregnant couple, who previously posted Instagram Stories denouncing antisemitism, have been targeted next for their silence on the conflict in Gaza.

Justin was also criticised when he posted the phrase “praying for Israel” on top of a picture showing bombed buildings – but he removed it when others noted that the image actually portrayed the Gaza Strip.

3. Gal Gadot

4. Zendaya

The Challengers actress, who has always been a strong advocate for several social issues such as Black Lives Matter, has remained silent on the Israel-Gaza conflict.

5. Kylie Jenner

In October last year, Jenner posted a Story in support of Israel, but deleted it an hour later due to major backlash. Since the blockout, the reality TV star has reportedly lost over 50,000 followers on instagram.

6. Selena Gomez

Although the Rare Beauty founder signed an open letter to President Joe Biden, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, her neutral stance on the conflict upset many fans. She has reportedly lost 164,300 followers since the blockout movement.

7. Beyoncé

While Beyoncé has chosen to remain silent on the ongoing conflict, she was slammed by fans for screening her Renaissance concert film in Israel.

8. Khloé Kardashian

In October last year, the Kardashian sister shared a post by political analyst Jordan C. Brown, stating, “It is absolutely reasonable and logical to be opposed to the Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians, while simultaneously calling for the protection of Jews in Israel and around the world.” The socialite has since reportedly lost nearly 200,000 followers on Instagram.
