Located in downtown Culver City, CA, Grand Casino Bakery is an Argentinean restaurant and bakery that my friend Melissa recommended we try. This restaurant was so good, we returned twice for happy hour two separate times.
Upon arrival at 5pm, we were greeted with a happy hour menu offering $3.50 wine glasses. We both ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and it was refreshing with notes of citrus and sweet fruit.
For dinner, I opted for the Entraña skirt steak with a side of fries and a veggie kabob.
The second time we visited, I had steak and eggs with a side of fries. I loved this dish better than the previous dish. I will forever be a fan of steak and eggs.
My friend Melissa had the ravioli both times and she loved it.
I ordered a Tiramisu cake for dessert, which I finished 98% of. We both ended our meal with lattes and I had mine with oat milk.
Overall, we loved this restaurant for happy hour as the prices for wine were amazing. Our bill came out to around $80 both times.
Know Before You Go:
A homeless man was screaming and angrily talking to himself as he passed by us. We sat outside and it caught us a bit off-guard. The first time we sat outside, we were tucked in a corner, closer to the door rather than sitting alongside the sidewalk. Next time, we’ll ask for our original seat closer to the door.
Towards the end of our dinner, a separate homeless man in a wheelchair asked if we had cash on hand. Unfortunately, we didn’t so, he asked us if we had Zelle, Paypal or other apps to send him money. If you’re new to Los Angeles, CA, the homelessness problem has gotten worse here over the years and Mayor Karen Bass is trying to remediate the problem. She’s trying to find housing for those living on the streets.
Parking: Note, there are several parking structures in the area so you don’t have to worry about street parking.
