Disney Imagineers Share First Look at Technology Coming to Disney Parks

A new Walt Disney Imagineering series has launched, and the first episode delves into new technology coming to the Disney Parks.

Walt Disney Imagineering is truly where the magic happens. Imagineers help to create the world of the Disney Parks, thinking outside the box and constantly developing exciting new technology to build the biggest and best that theme parks have to offer. And a new YouTube series, “We Call It Imagineering,” showcases that work.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Audio-Animatronics

The first episode of the Imagineering series spotlights the technology that goes into the Audio-Animatronic figures coming to the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. “As Imagineers, we know our end product isn’t gears or circuits or revolutionary robotic figures that engage with guests in brand new ways, it’s actually emotion in its truest form…that’s why we do what we do, and we’re excited to be sharing this with you,” explained Bruce Vaughn, Chief Creative Officer at Walt Disney Imagineering.

You can watch the first episode in its entirety, which focuses on the evolution of this incredible technology and how it will be used in the parks in the near future with the addition of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

New Look at the Tropical Americas Update Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

And that wasn’t the only update we got from Walt Disney Imagineering! A new Instagram post shared a special look at the development of the upcoming Tropical Americas land planned for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This Encanto and Indiana Jones-themed land was first teased at the 2023 Destination D23, and Disney has promised more information during the 2024 D23 Expo this summer.
