Doja Cat, an American rapper, shows off a new tattoo that goes all the way across her back. This ink shows the skeleton of a bat and has a simple text that says, “‘Don’t explain yourself’ is so corny.”

She also added a block of writing that said, “Bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old, and bringing in the new. They are symbols of transition, of initiation, and the start of a new beginning.”

The news comes after she got a tattoo of a demon on her arm that was about the same size. She chose Mr. K, a Bang Bang Tattoo artist who has worked with many famous people, such as Liam Hemsworth, Hailey Bieber, Michael J. Fox, Rita Ora, and others.

She also said that her demon tattoo was based on a drawing by Giovanni Battista Bissoni from an Italian philosopher’s book called De Monstruorum Causis, Natura et Differentiis. Fortunio Liceti wrote the book.

The rapper showed off her new tattoo at the 2023 MET Gala, which was a tribute to the famous German designer Karl Lagerfeld. She dressed up as his cat Choupette for the event based on his work.
