The annual cookie walk will be 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at Trinity Lutheran church in Truman. You can choose cookies, caramels, Kringle, karma party mix, fudge, etc. And then pay for the items you choose by the pound. Containers will be provided. This community event is always a favorite for shoppers to stock up on Christmas baking.
A craft vendor show, bake sale and Chili luncheon will be 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Truman community building. Your Christmas shopping can be complete with glass items, diamond painting, afghan, quilts, candy, cookies, honey, scentsy, 31 bags, Tupperware, alpaca items and much more. Support the seventh grade at their bake sale and enjoy a cup of chili, crackers, a cookie, and a beverage for five dollars.
St. John’s Antrim church will be having their eighth annual beef commercial meal from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 in the church basement. To go orders are available. This is a free will donation event. Please remember pre-orders for the delicious whole homemade pies, (apple, pecan, cherry, blueberry) can be made by calling (507) 236-7292 by November 30. Your pre-order pies can be picked up the day of the meal, there is a suggested price of $10 for pies.
Truman sorority will be holding its annual shopping spree for kindergarten through six graders 3:30-5 p.m. at the community building Tuesday, Dec. 4. Anyone wishing to donate gifts should call Cathy Sorenson at (507) 532-5170.
Please join Truman Toys for Tots and helping needy children as we run our Toys for Tots program for 2023. Make a difference this Christmas by donating a toy for a child in need. Boekett building supply and Elizabeth Chevrolet are collecting toys for underprivileged kids in their community. If anyone would like to be include on our list or know anyone who should be included on your list, please contact Candace Sahan at (507) 236-6988. You can help by bringing an unwrapped new gift to Boekettor Elizabeth’s any time during the regular business hours. Please drop off your gift or monetary donation by noon on December 13. And don’t forget older kids need gifts also.
