New Yorkers are getting ready for one of the biggest travel days of the year: Thanksgiving. 

The city’s Department of Transportation marks Tuesday, Nov. 21 as a Gridlock Day. The DOT recommends that New Yorkers take public transportation, bike or walk because roads will be packed. 

On top of heavy traffic, News 12 forecasters say the weather will be wet and rainy.
