Dr. Juhi Anil Jagiasi | Chandler Funeral Homes Delaware


Dr. Juhi A. Jagiasi, MD, age 60, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware.  Born on September 6, 1964, in India; she was daughter of Ms. Bharati and Mr. Ram Bhatia.  She obtained her doctors degree (MBBS) in India and came to USA in 1993 after getting married to Anil Jagiasi.  She completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) residency and fellowship from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee specializing in Anesthesiology and moved to Wilmington, Delaware in 2002 to work for St. Francis Hospital as attending Anesthesiologist. She then worked for outpatient surgery centers in Newark, Delaware from 2009 to 2017 and finally worked for the Bayhealth Hospital in Dover, Delaware from 2018 to 2022.

Juhi was very charismatic, multi-talented, caring and loving. She was the best wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt one could ask for.  She was the best breathtaking expressive dancer; one could not take their eyes away from her whenever she danced.

Despite being in the medical field, her passion for Indian Fashion Art & Beauty (IFAB) events was immense.  She won the title of Mrs. India Delaware in 2010 and participated in Ms. Earth pageant in Philippines.  She organized several beauty pageants, fashion shows and singing events to promote young talent. Starting from the year 2012, she founded India Day Parade in association with Hindu Temple of Delaware. Bollywood was in her blood. Juhi has made countless contributions towards IFAB events all over the world.  Juhi had a profound passion for fashion. Inspired by the glamour of Bollywood, she founded the Indian Fashion, Art, and Beauty (IFAB) Awards, an event celebrating South Asian culture and talent.  Juhi showcased her designs at various esteemed fashion events, including Couture Fashion Week in New York and Atlantic City Fashion Week in Atlantic City, NJ.  Her contributions were recognized by the Indian and fashion community, and she was remembered fondly by several organizations such as Atlantic City Fashion Week, Hindu Temple of Delaware and many more!

Juhi is survived by her husband Anil R. Jagiasi, son Ishaan Jagiasi, sister Amrita Golani, brother Bharat Bhatia, nieces, nephews, several loving members from her in-laws and relatives in India & USA.

Her family is thankful for their cherished friends and colleagues who helped Juhi throughout her adventures journey and during her illness.

Friends and family are welcome to the Celebration of Life and Funeral Service for her on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11 am at Chandler Funeral Home located at 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE.
