Drive to help local food pantries set to begin

In the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr.’s call to action, the Nature Coast Volunteer Center, in collaboration with AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP, is set to host a meaningful food drive to support local food pantries in Citrus County. The drive aims to replenish stocks of non-perishable food items that often dwindle after the holiday season.

Asking the poignant question, “What are you doing for others?” — a question central to Dr. King’s philosophy — the initiative aims to embody the principles of service and community support that the civil rights icon passionately advocated.
