Robbers Roost Ranch is the site on Oct. 26 for an all-day family-oriented fundraising event to raise money for a young woman who needs a heart transplant. The festivities include three live bands, one being Dry Lake Blues Band.

This band plays covers of classic blues rock songs. They get their name from where the founders live, over the mountain in Trona, Searles Lake. We met up with the band at the Ridgecrest Fraternal Order of Eagles on Ridgecrest Blvd. This is an appropriate location because that is where guitarist Charlie Ghramm heard lead singer Scott Fairfield on karaoke night. Fairfield joined the band with Charlie’s wife Lisa on bass.
