DURYEA, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Duryea VFW 1227 hosted their 7th annual “Smoked In The Valley” presented by Rock 107.
This fundraiser features several vendors and food trucks selling smoked meats such as briskets and porchetta.
The event admission is free and will run Friday through Saturday, with a classic car cruise running from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Danny Stella, Commander of VFW Post 1227, says this event grows significantly every year and this year they are able to show off their new pavilion for people to use.
“We’re just looking to have a good time. It’s our biggest fundraiser for the VFW. So we’re looking for the support from the community to help us out. We give back to the community in lots of different ways and this is one way to help support the things we do and give back to the community,” said Stella.
Stella encourages all walks of life to come together and enjoy the vendors, food, and live music.
