The Grévin Museum in Paris, France decided to honor actor and wrestling legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson with a life-sized wax figure. Unlike others that have already been made in his honor, this one was quite different from what the real Dwayne Johnson looks like. The result is a mixture between Johnson himself and none other than Vin Diesel. Given their past dark history working together, people online were quick to roast ‘The Rock’ for getting a wax figure that looks more like the ‘Fast & Furious‘ star than him. If you look at the figure, the skin tone is way lighter than Johnson’s and his face structure is actually more similar to Vin Diesel than his own. But why is people online starting to roast ‘The Rock’ over this?
Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel’s past issues
To those to remember, Dwayne Johnson was actually part of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise at a certain point. Vin Diesel believed he was a perfect addition to the crew and he even got a spin-off series after his first credit. The ‘Hobbs & Shaw‘ spinoff with Jason Statham was also a box office success but not as big as the main franchise. What some don’t know is the behind the scenes beef and differences Johnson had with Vin Diesel. It was a very public falling out that reached all the major news outlets. ‘The Rock’ famously posted a long statement talking against his co-stars without naming names. But Vin Diesel quickly took it personal and both of them started a war against each other that splattered all over the media.
Apparently, what was believed to be a stunt sadly wasn’t and the two movie stars were involved in at least a couple heated arguments on set. They both exchanged their views on how to approach filmmaking as action stars and realized they were complete opposites of the spectrum. To this day, Dwayne Johnson refuses to settle his beef with Vin Diesel despite the olive branches extended by the New York City native. Now that he is being roasted over this wax figure, the entire world would like to know what he thinks about it. And no, Johnson still hasn’t said anything about this mistake by the Paris Museum and nobody expects a public statement about it.
