Dyer Added to Women’s Tennis Staff – Stevens Institute of Technology Athletics

HOBOKEN, N.J. (January 30, 2024) – Stevens Institute of Technology head women’s tennis coach Arik Zeevy has announced Tuesday the hiring of Bianca Dyer as an assistant coach. Dyer’s most-recent tennis position was as a coach with Winning Touch Tennis in Princeton, New Jersey.

“Bianca’s energy, enthusiasm and leadership are going to make an immediate impact on our program,” Zeevy said. “Bianca’s undergraduate experience at the University of Rochester and her academic background as a chemical engineer make her a great fit at Stevens. I am excited to work with her as she begins her college coaching journey on Castle Point.”

A four-year player for the women’s tennis team at the University of Rochester, Dyer amassed 39 career victories – 18 in singles competition and 21 in doubles play – for the Yellowjackets, serving as a co-captain for her final two seasons. Among her victories, Dyer paired with Yaya Wang for a victory over Division I Howard University and had the match-clinching point in a Rochester victory over the University of Puerto Rico-Rico Piedras. Dyer closed out her collegiate playing career with wins in six of her final seven doubles matches.

“I would like to thank our Athletic Director, Russ Rogers, and the athletic department for the support in creating this position,” Zeevy offered. “I am also indebted to our volunteer assistant coaches, Agatha Malinowski and Teresa Matushaj, for all their time and energy. We couldn’t keep growing without their support and I am lucky to have such a supportive coaching staff.”

In addition to her time on the tennis court, Dyer also spent two seasons on the volleyball court for Rochester, totaling 127 digs over 82 sets with six aces and seven assists.

Following graduation, Dyer coached both tennis and pickleball with the USA Sport Group and is also a certified volleyball referee with the National Federation of State High School Associations.

She graduated from Rochester with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering in 2020 and went on to earn her master’s in chemical engineering from Princeton in 2022.
