Ed Sheeran Was Photographed Enjoying This Strange Dish on His Japan Vacation

On Monday, Ed Sheeran shared a video of himself dining out in Osaka, Japan, and to the surprise of some of his fans, he was eating octopus balls.

As part of his continuing Mathematics Tour, the 32-year-old chart-topping musician is currently touring Asia. His tour has been going strong since 2022. Over the weekend, the singer performed in Osaka, Japan, to the delight of his fans. During his stay in the city, he raced around different eateries, sampling various cuisines and beverages.

The Perfect crooner documented his gastronomic excursion and prepared a highlight reel of his night in the city, assessing the meals he tried. He shared the video on Instagram and captioned the highlights reel, “Eating octopus balls in Osaka.” The artist was seen in the video trying the cuisine and commenting, “It’s alright… Don’t know if I’d order it again.”

Some fans, however, were misled into thinking he was eating cephalopod genitalia rather than simple, crispy dumplings containing octopus meat. Ed’s statement perplexed pop brothers Jedward, who responded to his essay. The former X Factor finalists remarked in the post’s comments section: “Never knew they had ballz, what an educational video for all.”

Another person commented, writing: “LM*O it’s a spherical-shaped snack with a wheat-flour batter filled with diced octopus and other ingredients, not their actual ‘balls’,” along with a crying-with-laughter emoji.
