Education Technology Note funds support teaching, learning

For the past decade, Santa Feans have demonstrated their unwavering commitment to education by resoundingly supporting the Education Technology Note. This Nov. 7, the community will once again see the ETN on the ballot. A property tax-funded bond, the technology note supports technology in all public schools, including charter schools. It is a continuation of an existing tax, meaning that it will not increase property taxes.

For the Santa Fe Public Schools, the ETN plays a vital role in three primary areas: infrastructure, classroom technology and the technical and teaching support that makes learning possible, both in the classroom and remotely.

Infrastructure forms the bedrock of modern education. Just as a sturdy foundation supports a building, an efficient technological infrastructure is essential for the smooth functioning of today’s school system, where technology is a necessity, not an option.
