“This holiday season, we are expecting up to 21,000 daily passengers, so it’s important that travellers give themselves a little extra time to navigate the airport,” said Carmen Donnelly, vice president of passenger experience and terminal operations, Edmonton International Airport.

The EIA expects to welcome more than 7.4-million passengers by the end of 2023. That’s a 90 per cent recovery from pre-pandemic volumes. During this holiday season, it’s expected thousands more passengers will go through the terminals during peak times.
SOME HELPFUL REMINDERS
Arrive early: It’s best to arrive two hours and 15 minutes prior to domestic flights, and three hours and 15 minutes before International flights.
Convenience: To make things go smoother, use the airlines online check-in service, and travellers can print or download their boarding passes ahead of time. Travellers can also book their parking reservation in advance with ValuePark, Easy Parkade or jetSet Parking.
DEPARTURE ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION
Since closing the departures roadway in September for construction, over 1-million passengers and 700,000 vehicles have moved in and out of the airport. With the warmer temperatures this fall, construction looks to be ahead of schedule, but not finished for the holiday season.
