TAHLEQUAH – The federal budget resolution passed out of the U.S. House of Representatives includes cuts to nutrition programs that help the most vulnerable, the elderly, analysts say.

States are facing deep cuts in federal funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, as outlined in the House budget, according to watchdog groups. These could include $230 billion in SNAP cuts over 10 years.
