
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Elephant twins Yaad and Tukada are celebrating Halloween with some pumpkin smashing!
The Rosamond Gifford Zoo posted a video to X of the elephants having a “gourd” time playing around with some pumpkins Tuesday morning.
The pumpkin squashing is good practice for the zoo’s Squishing of the Squash event on Satuday, November 4. People are invited to watch as tigers, camels, elephants and primates squash pumpkins of all sizes. The event is free with zoo membership or admission from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Find the schedule below:
