Cher continues to score hits.
Last Monday, the 77-year-old legend was refused conservatorship of her son, Elijah Blue Allman.
Now, Elijah has successfully dismissed his divorce from Marieangela King, who previously described Cher as “manic depressive” and “categorically unfit” to act as Elijah’s conservator.
Similarly, Cher continued to criticize Marieangela for fostering Elijah’s addiction and not having his best interests in mind throughout the conservatorship battle.
According to fresh court documents obtained by Page Six, a judge ultimately allowed the motion “without prejudice,” allowing Elijah to re-file for divorce at a later date.
Elijah first filed for divorce from Marieangela in 2021, after eight years of marriage.
However, Elijah recently reconnected with Marieangela and filed for divorce dismissal on January 3, 2024, while his mother sought conservatorship over him. Initially, the petition was denied due to a temporary order of support.
The latest verdict comes just after Cher was refused conservatorship over Elijah, with the judge citing no evident “lack of capacity” on Elijah’s behalf to manage his life and finances.
Cher initially sought Elijah’s conservatorship to help manage his funds due to his “severe mental health and substance abuse issues.”
Cher said that Marieangela purposefully hindered Elijah’s recuperation and prevented him from receiving necessary mental health therapy.
