Ellie Goulding Looks ‘Sad’ Now That She Is No Longer Friends with Tory Zac Goldsmith

Ellie Goulding, 36, was pictured with her husband Caspar Jopling in West London on Monday.

This is the couple’s second public appearance after facing difficulties in the past. Ellie had recently separated herself from her close acquaintance with Tory peer Zac Goldsmith.

The couple has been sighted together twice in recent days, both times looking solemn.

Ellie and Caspar, the parents of two-year-old Arthur, were seen holding juices during their most recent walk, while Caspar also had a children’s scooter and helmet in tow.

In contrast to last month, when Ellie was seen walking close to Lord Goldsmith, 48, near his £3 million property in West London, the gap between them was significant.

The duo became close after Lord Goldsmith’s marriage to his second wife, Alice Rothschild, ended in divorce after ten years.

Lord Goldsmith, the Eton-educated son of late billionaire businessman Sir James Goldsmith, and Ellie, who grew up on a council estate in Herefordshire, had regarded their connection as odd.

The singer has made numerous high-profile acquaintances, including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who attended her star-studded wedding to Mr Jopling at York Minster in 2019.

Lord Goldsmith was formerly married to Sheherazade Bentley, another environmentalist, but the couple divorced in 2010. In June, he resigned as a minister after accusing Rishi Sunak of being ‘uninterested’ in environmental issues.

Ellie and Lord Goldsmith first met in November 2021 during the COP26 climate change summit in Glasgow.
