Elon Musk Blasts the Super Mario Bros Critics

Elon Musk recently criticized movie critics for how they talked about The Super Mario Bros. movie.

The best-selling Nintendo video game series was turned into an animated movie for kids that came out in theaters this week, according to Independent.

The website Rotten Tomatoes, which collects reviews, says that only 54% of critics liked the Super Mario Bros. movie, making it “Rotten.”

The audience score, which is based on votes from people who are not professional critics, is “Fresh 96 percent positive,” which is interesting.

The CEO of the website responds to a tweet from @BoredElonMusk that showed a screenshot of the movie’s Rotten Tomatoes score.

“Content review systems are broken. The tweet said, “Because critics don’t like Chris Pratt, so-called experts have given the new Mario movie a D-, even though audiences love it.”

It also said, “Both of these groups are clearly biased, but the fact that they are such different shows that there is a big problem.”

Musk replied by writing, “Wow, the critics are so out of touch with reality!”

Musk played the yellow enemy of Mario, Wario, in a Saturday Night Live sketch earlier in 2021.
