SÃO PAULO–Embraer said Thursday it reached a framework agreement with UK Export Finance for a credit operation intended to help finance aircraft purchases from the Brazilian aerospace company.

UKEF is a British government agency that helps finance local exports, and will be the guarantor of credit for future financial transactions.

Embraer didn’t disclose the potential amount of the agreement. The credit facility is bound by the volume of materials and components imported by Embraer coming from the UK, the Brazilian company said.

The agreement provides Embraer’s clients with another financing option while increasing demand for products from British suppliers and boosting employment creation in the UK, Embraer and UKEF said.
