Emmett Till’s cousin on the new memorials for him and his mother


US President Joe Biden established a national monument to honour Emmett Till, a black teenager who was lynched in 1955 in Mississippi, and his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, on Tuesday.

The BBC’s Sumi Somaskanda spoke to Deborah Watts, the cousin of Emmett Till, about what makes the national memorial so important.
