Elon Musk and Donald Trump did not share the warmest of ties but the two have drawn closer as November and election day approaches.

Elon Musk will sit down for an unscripted interview with former US president and Republican contender for the White House, Donald Trump, on Wednesday. The interview will be hosted on X, a platform Musk owns along with companies like automaker Tesla, SpaceX and Boring Company.

“Live conversation on with @realDonaldTrump & me at 8pm ET tomorrow,” Musk said in a post on X. “This is unscripted with no limits on subject matter, so should be highly entertaining! If you have specific questions & comments, post them under the chat,” he said.

The tech tycoon and the former president did not agree on many issues even in 2022 but shortly after Musk took over X, formerly Twitter, his stance towards the politician has changed.

He not only lifted the ban on the former president’s Twitter account after purchasing the company but he also appeared to endorse some of the ideas that Trump endorses like – alleged deep state running America, “woke” ideas hurting society, media bias and opposition to immigration.

A report by the BBC said that he co-founded a pro-Trump political action committee, America PAC.

“I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” Musk said, soon after Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Donald Trump also appeared approving of Elon Musk and indicated that they now have a good relationship. “I respect Elon a lot. He respects me. Elon more than almost anybody I know… he loves this country, he loves the concept of this country, but like me, he says this country is in big trouble, it’s in tremendous danger,” Trump told reporters on Thursday.
