Their fresh take on island reggae that according to them combines their diverse musical backgrounds and cultural heritage. Produced by Pana who also brought you the songs “Utu BangBang” and “Smoke All Day” by Ka’ikena Scanlan.

Cirque Du Soleil has parterned with Outrigger Resorts & Hotels to bring a new show called “’Auana” to a newly renovated showroom in the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel. I got to see a preview of the show yesterday and speak to members of the creative core. They said in a panel that the journey has been incredible; with Dr. Keao NeSmith, Fashion Designer Manaola Yap, Kumu Hula Ka’ilihiwa Vaughan-Darval and Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner – Dr. Aaron J Sala, Cultural Creative Director. This is a lot of Kanaka Maoli/Polynesian firepower in one room. To see them blend and work together and hear the Hawaiian viewpoint from the beginning rather than an afterthought is refreshing. As I stepped into the ballroom I was like “WOW” and that was heard by the rest of the people coming in for the preview. I’ll have more on this coming up this weekend on Hawaii News Now….but in short, it’s what you would expect for a Cirque Du Soleil show!
