Essentia Health to host Women’s Health Day in Baxter


BRAINERD — Essentia Health is aiming to raise awareness of women’s health and enhance access to important services by hosting Women’s Health Day April 20 in Baxter.

Attendees are able to receive mammograms and cervical screenings as well as learn about other women’s health topics.

“Health screenings for women are a vital component of proactive health care, enabling early detection and prevention of potential health issues,” said Shawna Reed, operations director for the Essentia Health-Baxter Clinic, in a news release. “By prioritizing regular screenings, women can take charge of their well-being, ensuring timely interventions and promoting overall health and longevity.”

The event will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Essentia Health-Baxter Clinic, 13060 Isle Drive.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Appointments can be made by calling 218-828-7100 or by using Essentia’s MyChart patient portal at
