In January, Teyana Taylor reportedly filed for divorce from her estranged spouse, Iman Shumpert.

The couple, who announced their split in September 2023, have been apart since the beginning of this year.

TMZ acquired court documents in which the Bare Wit Me singer accused the former NBA player of narcissistic behavior that resulted in emotional abuse.

Taylor and Shumpert have been married for nearly ten years and have two kids, Junie, seven, and Rue, three.

The singer claimed in the docs that the former athlete treated her “cruelly” because she was anxious about her celebrity.

The mother of two claimed she was compelled to “dim her light for her husband to try to have a harmonious and peaceful marriage,” and that she even turned down job possibilities because of him.

Taylor claimed Shumpert gets irritated when photographers photographed her alone during their joint public appearances.

The couple’s continual squabbles prompted the A Thousand and One star to file for divorce in 2021.

Taylor also requested sole custody of their two children in the divorce filing.
