BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Bucs hosted the Highlanders at the Bristol Sportsplex, their indoor home, to open the home slate on Saturday.
ETSU claimed the double point and dropped just one singles match, en-route to a 6-1 victory.
The Blue and Gold’s top doubles pair of Dimitri Badra and Francisco Lamas lost their matchup in a tiebreak, 7-6. But, a third-court forfeit and a 6-4 win from Milledge Cossu and Adam Nagoudi secured the Bucs the doubles point.
The Bucs then claimed five of the six singles matches, including one by forfeit:

4. Alberto Garcia (ETSU) def. Manfredi Vergine (RAD) 5-7, 6-0, 6-2
5. James Sim (ETSU) def. Dominik Wijntjes (RAD) 6-1, 6-1
6. Francisco Lamas (ETSU) def. No player (RAD), by default
ETSU (2-3) continues with non-conference play next Saturday at Belmont. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
