The SET Plan conference outlined EU strategy to boost “energy sovereignty” with existing policy plan

Discussions about the EU Strategic Energy Technology Plan at its annual conference have centred around how implementing competitive innovation can contribute to the EU’s strategic autonomy.

“The need to strengthen research and innovation in new clean energy sources within the European Union and to improve European competitiveness and energy sovereignty was addressed” at the conference this week in Barcelona, Spain, according to a press release by the Spanish presidency.
