‘Euphoria’ Star Angus Cloud’s Mother Called 911 About ‘Possible Overdose’ Before His Death

Angus Cloud’s mother called 911 on Monday to report a “possible overdose” after she found her son unconscious and without a pulse at their home in Oakland, California. The call came in at 11:30 a.m., and both the Oakland Police Department and the Oakland Fire Department went to the scene. Cloud, who played Fezco on the show Euphoria, was declared dead at the scene. He was 25 years old.

At this time, we don’t know what caused Cloud’s death. Both the Oakland Police Department and the Fire Department told Entertainment Tonight that the “cause of death is unknown” and that we don’t have any more information. The Oakland Fire Department said they were “dispatched to the 200 block of Euclid Ave in Oakland for a medical emergency. Upon the arrival of Fire EMS personnel, the patient was determined to be already deceased. Per protocol, the body was left in the care of the police department and coroner.”

The actor’s father died just a few weeks before Cloud died. A source close to the family told ET that Cloud, who was very close to his father, “had been struggling with severe suicidal thoughts after getting back from Ireland, where Angus and his family laid his father to rest.” The actor was “staying with his family as he tried to get through the grief.” Monday, Cloud’s family confirmed that he had died. They said that he had “struggled” after his father’s funeral.

“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” the statement said. It also said, “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss”

Cloud was best known for his role as Fezco in the teen thriller Euphoria, which won an Emmy. He was in the same show as Zendaya and Maude Apatow. In a tribute post, the show said that Cloud was “extremely talented and a beloved member of the HBO and Euphoria family.” During this hard time, we send our deepest sorrow to his friends and family.” Cloud has also been in movies like “North Hollywood” and “The Line.” Variety says that the actor had just finished shooting a new horror movie with Melissa Berrera, which was directed by the same people who made Scream 6.
