Javon “Wanna” Walton, who was in the movie Euphoria, has chosen to switch to boxing. He is only 17 years old.
The actor, who played Ashtray on the HBO show, talked to TMZ about the change. He said that boxing has been his love for a long time and that he plans to stick with it for a long time.
Wanna said, “This is something I want to do for the rest of my life.”
“It’s something I’ve been very passionate about for a very long time, and it’s something that I care about a lot. Boxing, to me, is just a release. I love every minute of it, and I mean, the ultimate goal is to be a world champion and defend my titles for a very long time, and become a Hall of Famer. That’s the real goal for me.”
Walton has been boxing since he was four years old. He is only 17 years old now, but he has already had 80 amateur fights and won a few of them as well as the Georgia state title.
When asked about his decision to sign with Paul’s MVP, the actor said that the company made him feel “valued” and that he was “very sharp” and “super laid back.”
Wanna added, “I wanted to go somewhere where I knew that I was gonna be valued, and a place that I knew that they were going to care about me a lot, and a place with a lot of talent. Everyone over at MVP is very talented, and they’ve all done such amazing things in their career.”
