Everything you should know about the 2025 Chicago Auto Show

The 2025 Chicago Auto Show will officially make its return to McCormick Place on February 8, 2025. Running through February 17, 2025, the beloved car show will feature a number of new indoor and outdoor test tracks, a variety of novel vehicles and the return of the “Chicago Drives Electric” exhibit, where Chicagoans will get to hear auto industry experts dive deep into the world of electric cars.

It appears as if the event is actually going being on all things electric, with organizers working on setting up two separate electric tracks in the testing area, compared to 2024’s single one.

“In addition to the ride-alongs, consumers may visit the EV education hub to learn more about pressing EV topics including at-home charging, range anxiety, maintenance and associated EV ownership costs,” reads an official press release.

The decision to expand EV programming is a conscious one based on research.

“We learned that, once people experience an EV, they feel more comfortable with the idea owning one,” said Chicago Auto Show general manager Jennifer Morand in an official statement. “We look forward to bringing this popular, educational and hands-on experience back indoors to the Chicago Auto Show. In 2025, attendees will encounter more brands and models added to two EV test tracks, allowing consumers to cross-shop and experience a wide range of EVs all in one location.”

In terms of other experiences, attendees can also run through a 2.4-mile loop within McCormick Place as part of the Toyota Miles Per Hour Run event on February 9.

On Automotive Career Day on February 12, students of all ages will be encouraged to learn more about careers within the automotive industry through a series of activations and presentations.

But there’s more: A new area on the show floor will focus on the off-road and outdoor lifestyle and, within the family fun zone, children ages 2 to 16 will get to immerse themselves in all things cars.

You probably won’t want to miss out on the indoor craft beer sampling event scheduled for February 14, either. Clearly, there will be a lot to do.

Tickets to the Chicago Auto Show are currently available right here and you can find more information about the event here.
