HEELING — Faire May will entertain the Thursday Music Club at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at CharHouse on the Avenue in Wheeling.
“Faire May is an Ohio Valley-based folk music band that seeks to bring happiness and knowledge to others through traditional style music,” explained band member Zac Gordon. “At a Faire May concert, you will hear anything from banjos to bagpipes, jaw harps and beyond. You will hear and enjoy music from the 15th century all the way until the 1950s and 1960s. The band loves to play music in the genres of Bluegrass, Celtic, Old Time Colonial, Gospel, German, Jungian, Russian, Polish, Mediterranean, Medieval and classic 1950s and 1960s music, in addition to our usual concerts.”
Faire May specializes in historical music from the 18th and 19th centuries.
“The band is sure to bring a smile to you using their traditional style, professional skills and youthful nature,” Gordon added.

President Suzie McCormick will ask for reports from Treasurer Mary Ann Mysliwiec, Secretary Judy Szymialis and other committee chairmen.
There will be no meeting in January. The next meeting will be Feb. 1, with JoAnn Davis as the entertainer.
The chorus, led under the direction of Anita Chops and accompanist Debbie Breiding, has been practicing at 10 a.m. every Wednesday at Elm Grove Methodist Church for the concerts scheduled for Dec. 12 at Elmhurst and at Welty and Dec. 13 at the Home of Good Shepherd and St. Paul Terrace. The Youth Auditions will be held March 15-16 at Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church in Woodsdale. The recital will be held there as well in March.
There will be no study group in December and January. The group will resume in February.
