Fairmount Center for the Arts unveils new series


The Fairmount Center for the Arts announced a new event series running from October 2024 into March 2025 at its Novelty and Chardon locations, where families of all ages can connect across generations through a variety of hands-on performing and visual arts activities, making art-filled memories together.

“Creating space for families to connect across the generations is a key initiative of Fairmount Center for the Arts,” Elizabeth Bolander, executive director of Fairmount Center for the Arts, said in a Sept. 30 news release. “We are excited to be able to offer this program series for free to our community at both our Novelty and Chardon locations.”

The series’ upcoming events include Open Studios: Storytelling on Oct. 19, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Fairmount-Novelty, 8400 Fairmount Road, featuring artist Michaelle Marschall and Open Studios; Seasons on Nov. 16, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Fairmount-Novelty, and Nov. 17, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Fairmount-Chardon, 101 Main Street, Suite 105, with artist Megan Summers.

In 2025, events include Open Studios: Myths & Legends on Jan. 18 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fairmount-Novelty and Jan. 19, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Fairmount-Chardon; Open Studios: Valentine’s Day on Feb. 15 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Fairmount-Novelty; and Open Studios: Color Play on March 15, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Fairmount-Novelty; and March 16, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Fairmount-Chardon will be held as part of the series, the release stated.
